A limited edition offset lithograph on Velin D’Arches rag paper after Pablo Picasso’s original 1972 oil painting titled Le jeune peintre (The Young Painter), reproduced by the Louvre Museum in 1980. The print features a young painter wearing a hat and a smile on his face, portrayed with simple gestural brushstrokes. Handwriting to the lower left numbers the print 1551 out of an edition of 5000. Printed to the lower margin are the image credits for the print in French. Copyright information in English reads “© S.P.A.D.E.M. Vaga New York 1980, printed in France by I.M.L. Paris”. An embossed stamp from the printing company is also marked to the lower right. Presented under acrylic glass in a metallic silver-tone frame.
