Item Details
A Barnes Foundation poster featuring an offset lithograph image after an original 1881 oil on canvas titled Jeune Mère (Young Mother) by well-listed French Impressionist artist Pierre Auguste Renoir (1841 – 1919). The image depicts a young woman in a blue dress sitting on a chair in a drawing room, as she holds a toddler on her lap. The piece is signed ‘Renoir’ in plate to the lower left. The image is bordered in pale green, with text printed to the bottom advertising the Barnes Foundations’s 1993-95 Great French Paintings exhibit at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. The piece is presented under glass in a gold tone metal frame with hanging wire to the verso.
