Vintage Hand Knotted Persian Style Rug

Item Details

A vintage, ornate hand knotted Persian style wool rug. The rug is designed in a cream background with a sunburst medallion framing two center medallions, in shades of light aqua blue, tomato red, greige and black. Surrounding the medallion feature is an overall floral and vine pattern with scrolling arabesques, and to the four corners, lobed medallions. The rug has a major border with floral medallions, banding by guard stripes in a barber pole design, with the rug banding in aqua blue and finished to both ends with cotton warp fringe. Unmarked.
