John Juzek 1/2 Size Violin and 3/4 Size Stradivarius Style Violin
Item Details
A half-size John Juzek violin with a plastic bow, rosin, a chinrest, and a black hardshell case lined in faux brown fur; and a 3/4 size Stradivarius style violin with a student’s bow and a hard case lined with green felt. Juzek, originally based in Prague, Czechoslovakia, later exported musical instruments from Germany. Its instruments were made in the border region of Schonbach, well-known for its luthiers.
Condition
- one violin is missing its bridge; pieces of tape on the neck and wear to its finish. Second instrument is missing strings. Bows may need to be rehaired.
