An imperial style, Chinese five claw dragon plate with Kangxi mark, though it likely dates to the Republic Period (1912-1949). This delicate piece features underglaze blue to the center, as well as the inner and outer banding; centrally depicted is the symbol of the emperor in the guise of a five claw dragon; bats, the symbol of happiness and joy, are present to the inner banding; with colorful lotus vines and flowers framing all. The mark is present to the underside.

- gold loss to rim; minor chipping under the rim; minor markings throughout consistent with age and prior use.
