Alix Beaujour was born and raised in Port Au Prince, Haiti, and moved to the United States in 1978 where he now resides in Dallas, Texas. Beaujour mastered the use of color and imagery with private study in Haiti and a short stay in Paris France. Alix is an extremely versatile and talented artist who has chosen to utilize various mediums to depict the life-like folklore of the African, West Indian and American Cultures. This painting features a presumably African potter, wearing a dashiki, and working intensely over his craft. The way the artist has established depth makes the viewer feel that they are in the room with this incredible man. The color palette is widely varied, yet incredibly self compatible. The painting is presented in a wooden frame with gold accents. Signature to bottom left hand corner.
