A signed limited edition offset lithograph after the original 1988 painting by well-listed American marine and riverboat painter, John Stobart (born 1929), titled Cincinnati: The Sternwheel Packet ‘Hudson’ Approaching the City in 1888. The image depicts Hudson chugging along the Ohio River alongside a young downtown Cincinnati, in an era when the highest structures were church steeples, not skyscrapers. The title is printed to the lower center margin. Artist signature is printed in plate and hand-signed in pencil to the lower right, where the print is also numbered 773 in an edition of 950 in pencil. This piece is presented behind a cream linen liner with a gilt fillet, behind glass in a coved wood frame with a hanging wire.
