The overall work is depicted with loose painterly brushstrokes, providing a generalized portrayal and suppressed details. The painting is signed in red to the lower left and the abbreviated subject matter is written in red to the lower right, reading ‘Porte St. D. Paris’. It is presented in a distressed brown, red, and green wood frame.
