An original oil on canvas (mounted) titled Firewood A Plenty by Cincinnati artist Carolyn Zimmerman (b. 1903). The landscape depicts a lush green forest clearing and a large pile a wood with the artist’s signature in the lower right. The painting is matted in white and mounted on foam core then protected in a clear vinyl wrap with the gallery tag affixed to the back dating the painting to 1972.
Carolyn Zimmerman was born in Walton, Indiana, November 25, 1903, she studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy and in Paris with Antoine Bourdelle and Madame Levy-Ginsborg. Further information can be found in the link below.
