Wedgwood Green Jasperware Trinket Box
Item Details
A green jasperware pin box from the company Wedgwood. The green jasperware series were known for causing inconsistencies in both form and design due to the green dip; leading to the series being sought after by collectors due to the series representing a rare in decline in quality from Wedgwood which is renown for pristine designs. This piece feature embossed bone white floral, Greek and cherub designs on a dark forest green background. The maker’s marks are stamped on the underside of this piece, with the type of mark text dating this piece as having been made between 1891 and 1908.
Condition
- minor chipping and wear to dark green finish; discoloration and staining to the interior; curling and bending in the rim.
