Item Details
A 20th century Georgian style burl walnut double arched cornice secretary bookcase. The upper section designed with a dimensional double arched cornice, double doors with trefoil arched glass inserts accented with muntin trim, with a pair of pull-out candle slides below, and to the interior, two adjustable wood shelves. The back of the bookcase is in a pine board construction. The base features an arrangement of four gradated dove-tailed burl-fronted drawers with brass bale pulls and contrasting inlaid borders, and above a slant front writing cabinet outfitted to the inside with nine open cubbies and nine small burl-fronted drawers, with four in a curved form. The bookcase is finished with French bracket feet and beveled trim, and flat panel sides.
