Shepard Fairey Limited Edition Serigraph "Church of Consumption"

Item Details

A limited edition serigraph on paper titled Church of Consumption by Shepard Fairey (b. 1970). This red, white and black palette piece addresses societies obsession with material things, patterns of social currency and signifiers and the deeper issues that result from the distractions of shallower concerns, per the artist website. The print is numbered 155 in an edition of 450 to the lower left and is signed by hand to the lower right, all in graphite. Fairey attended Rhode Island School of Design and gained his fame from his support and creation of a poster depicting President Barack Obama during his 2009 campaign.
