Clay Aztec Style Snake Flute

Item Details

A clay Aztec style flute with a serpent winding across the top. It is a cylindrical clay flute with a dark gray patina. It is embellished with a snake bending back and forth over the top. The four flute holes are positioned within the arced points of the snake body. The end of the instrument is adorned with a shortened figure. It is holding its hands on either side of the face. There are no legs or torso, simply feet beneath an elongated neck. There are no markings.
