An oil painting on canvas titled Winter Landscape, by listed Austrian artist Franz Waldegg (1888-1966). This romantic snow-covered landscape features a lake alongside a hilly terrain populated with thick forests. Tracks in the snow form a walking path leading up to a small cabin to the right; the overall scene is radiated by a glowing pink and blue sky hovering above. The painting is signed in black to the lower right, It is presented in a gray and gold-tone wood frame with a floral relief design. The verso is marked with a stamp reading ‘All Rights Reserved’ and a company name.
Condition
- lots of wear throughout frame including scratches, cracks, and discoloration throughout; large chips at corners of frame; smaller chips throughout; stains throughout the back of canvas; canvas needs securing in frame.
