Late 20th Century Henriot Quimper Swan Basket
Item Details
A late 20th Century Henriot Quimper swan basket. This basket features tiny daisies against a blue background to the exterior of the bowl traveling up in the form of the necks of two swans whose heads meet at the top to close the handle of the basket with wings adorning the base of the neck to each side of the bowl. The interior is decorated with a blue, green, and rust floral band to the edge and a daisy ring to the rim surrounding a pastoral image of a young girl to the bottom of the bowl. The piece is marked to the underside reading ‘HB Henriot Quimper France F.456 D.3-18 LT C’.
Condition
- minor markings throughout; slight wear to the underside.
