Chinese Carp Decorated Jardiniere
Item Details
A Chinese planter on stand. The jardiniere was produced in the form of a foot bath with gilded handles on the sides. The piece is profusely hand-decorated with flowers on an enameled ground with gilding. The interior is painted with carp in style of antique fish bowls. There is a painted mark on the interior reading ‘Made in China’ in both Chinese and English in iron-red.
