After Richard Guy Offset Lithograph "Typical Scene Duke of Gloucester Street"

An offset lithograph on paper after an original work by Richard Guy. Titled Typical Scene, Duke of Gloucester Street, this depicts three small buildings on the iconic Colonial Williamsburg street from the other side, and tourists and those in period dress walk around. It is titled and signed in the plate. This work is presented with an embossed pseudo plate mark, under glass in a stained wooden frame with a gold-tone liner, wired for hanging. Richard Guy (1928-2014) was an illustrator and painter whose work focused on historical sites and landmarks both in and outside of Washington, DC. Guy was particularly interested in the Civil War and was known for his portraits of military figures.
Condition
- fair; some toning to the print; small stains to margins; some significant scratches, abrasions and wear to the frame.
