Ink Wash
A selection of three original ink drawings by Richard Guy. These portrait works depict Jeb Stuart, Stonewall Jackson, and John Mosby each in monochromatic detail. Each piece is signed to the lower right in black ink. They are presented behind grey mats, under glass in wood frames with wire to the reverse ready to hang. Richard Guy (1928-2014) was an illustrator and painter whose work focused on historical sites and landmarks both in and outside of Washington, DC. Guy was particularly interested in the Civil War and was known for his portraits of military figures.
Condition
- all three have areas that have been covered in white paint and then drawn over again; some smudging of ink in various areas; wear to finish of frames.
