An oil painting on stretched canvas of a seated nude female figure by listed American artist Henry Boller Pancoast (1876-1962). This work features a nude woman seated on a wood stool, set in front of a vague brown background. She turns her body to the left, revealing a profile view of her face. The painting is signed in red to the lower left and remains unframed.

Pancoast is an Impressionist style American painter who spent much of his career working in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from both the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the Drexel Institute. Pancoast would later join the Philadelphia Art Club and be exhibited regularly at the Pennsylvania Academy. He was most well-known for his landscapes and coastal genre scenes.

- signs of over-painting throughout signature; varnish is darkening and discolored throughout; back of canvas is relined with transparent plastic; canvas is stapled to stretcher; unfurling canvas threads along edges; remains unframed; some marks and scratches throughout surface; paint loss especially along stretched canvas edges; top stretched edge of canvas is ripping.
