A contemporary Chinese hand-carved relief dragon and phoenix urn. This dark jade color glazed urn features a hand carved low relief depiction of a tan and brown dragon one one side, and a phoenix on the other. Together, these two animals represent the complementary forces of yang and yin. The urn features two glazed ring handles and includes a wooden base. The urn is stamped on the bottom by the maker.

- crack along shoulder. Wear consistent with age and use
