Nick Eggenhofer Original Ink Drawing "Saloon"

An original ink drawing by well-listed artist Nick Eggenhofer (1897-1985) titled ‘Saloon’. Eggenhofer was born in Bavaria, and moved to the United States in 1913. He was always enamored with the American West, and frequently created romantic works of art around the subject. This work shows three cowboys and a gentleman in front of a Western Saloon. For this work, Eggenhofer uses ink opaque white watercolor to bring the scene to life. Signed in ink to lower right, this work is mounted beneath a layer of off white matting, and is presented behind glass in a gilt frame with hanging wire present to verso. There ia an applied metal tag to the bottom of the frame which reads ‘Saloon Nick Eggenhofer 1897-1976’. Please see link below for more information about the artist.

- fair, has a few small brown discolored spots.
