A handwoven Shiraz style area rug. The rug features a central diamond medallion in a palette of navy, cream, white and red that sits on top of a red field with a cream spandrel at each corner. The field is covered in floral palmettes, tree of life guls and is enclosed by a compound resolved border. The border features a saw tooth style guard border, a floral and vine style border and a primary border that showcases a floral pattern and features a natural warp fringe to either side. The rug is marked to the reverse.
