After Edwin Abbey Cultured Ivory Engraving of "Tennis Match"

A cultured ivory double etched engraving created by the Marvetti Guild of Applied Art of Tennis Match after Edwin Austin Abbey (1852 – 1911). This work depicts two couples playing tennis, hand-painted with fine detail. The piece is signed in plate to the lower right corner and dated 1887. It is presented in a wood frame with a saw tooth hanger to the verso. A sticker with information about Marvetti Guild is affixed to the verso.
Condition
- to fair; some scratches and abrasions on frame; plate is loose in frame at bottom left corner, backing is missing from verso; no glass in frame.
