Claes Oldenburg Limited Edition Hand-Pulled Lithograph from the "One Cent Life Portfolio"

A limited edition double-sided lithograph on paper (page 136-137) featuring imagery by very well-listed American modern artist Claes Oldenburg (born 1929) from the One Cent Life Portfolio of Pop Art lithographs made to accompany poems written by well-listed Chinese poet Wallace Ting (1929-2010) and edited by well-listed American painter Sam Francis, created in 1964. The image depicts a gritty black drawing of a woman’s face in profile, and is initialed in-plate to the lower right. Text from Ting’s poems fill the lower margin, as well as the verso. Presented without matting or framing, this print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the Great Dane Collection.

This lithograph is from an edition of 2000 taken from the unbound elephant-folio. The portfolio was published in an edition of 2000 by E.W. Kornfeld in Bern, Switzerland where 100 editions were reserved for New York, Paris, and participants. This lithograph comes from a collection of 62 lithographs and serigraphs in colors on BFK Rives paper by 28 masters of Pop Art and COBRA movements. The portfolio includes work by Andy Warhol, Jim Dine, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Indiana, Tom Wesselmann and many more.
