A signed limited edition serigraph on rag paper with deckled edges titled Warm Hearth by well-listed abstract artist and printmaker Daryl Hughto (New York, born 1943), published by Larry B. Wright in New York in 1981. The image depicts an asymmetrical lavender diamond shape in the center of the pictorial space, a common motif in Hughto’s work. Surrounding the diamond are distressed and splattered pools of pink, green, brown, orange and pale, chalky blue. The print is numbered 71 in an edition of 160 and signed by the artist in pencil to the lower margin. It is unframed, awaiting presentation of choice. Hughto’s work is included in the collections of many reputed museums and galleries, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art; the Clement Greenberg Collection; the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; Denver Museum of Fine Art; Portland Museum of Art; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Contemporary Art Museum, Houston; and the Butler Institute of Art, Youngstown, Ohio.
