A pair of colored original genre scenes. Included is a hand-colored engraving by A. Raimbach after D. Wilkie’s painting titled Distraining For Rent, depicting an indoor scene of gathered people. Also included is a hand-colored lithograph after M. Stone’s original print Love At First Sight, depicting a young woman reading in the garden. Both prints are presented on heavy rag paper with an embossed plate marking and text to the lower margins.
Condition
- smudges visible on prints; pencil inscription to lower right margin; edge wear and tear; some discoloration and text fading; slight warping to paper edges; some creasing.
