A signed artist proof photolithograph on Arches fine printmaking paper after an original gouache painting by extremely prolific Spanish Surrealist Salvador Dalí (1904 – 1989), titled Barometer Woman from the artist’s Time series. The print depicts a yellow woman who is part statue and part barometer, as she stands prominently in a barren surreal landscape. The print is signed and labeled ‘E.A.’ (stands for “épreuve d’artiste,” which is French for “artist’s proof”) in pencil to the lower corners. A blindstamp that reads ‘DALART N.V. Copyright 1979’ is embossed to the lower left. The piece is double-matted in pearled white and pale yellow and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with cast surface embellishments, gold tone finish, and a hanging wire .Included in the artist’s Catalogue Raisonné, “The Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dali” by Albert Field, catalogue field 76-1 C, page 178.
