Majolica Style Vase

Item Details

A Majolica style vase. This piece has three ear-shaped handles with faces where the handles terminate. There is painted decoration throughout the body featuring a medallion with a crest within surrounded by putti and cornucopia laden with fruit. The vessel has elements seen on both French faience and Italian majolica. There is a faintly stamped mark reading ‘I-29’.

Condition

- intentionally crackled to give the appearance of age.
