Antique Chinese Sideboard

Item Details

An antique Chinese sideboard. This piece has a solid rectangular block frame of reddish stained wood. The top edge curls under slightly to an indented apron, and the sides are framed. It has three drawers across the front, with two underneath on the sides, all with hand cut box joints and brass plates with double curved bails. In the center is an open section with openwork lattice bottom. On either side, under the drawers, is a storage space, open to the front. The back has three framed vertical panels of unfinished wood.
