Hand-Knotted Tekke-Style Bokhara Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand knotted Tekke style Bokhara accent rug. This rug features five Turkish or Afghan style guls in shades of white, gold, and light blue, separated by symmetrically placed ram’s horn accents, arranged in a row inside the narrow rectangular red field. The wide main border is broken into blocks, each framing a large gold or white gull depicting an an eight pointed star inside a hexagonal center with tentacle/rays extending in all directions. A diamond pattern fills the guard borders, and a pair of wide borders at the shorter ends with a gold tone diamond lattice pattern complete the design. The rug is finished with a red side cord along the longer sides and a white fringe on the shorter ends. No tags.
