An elegant antique Capodimonte woven footed bowl with a lovely center medallion featuring twin mountains and a beautiful lake. The depiction might represent the view of Mt. Vesuvius across the Bay of Naples, since the Capodimonte porcelain factory is indeed, located in Naples. The bowl has a basketweave design created by pairs of twisted porcelain strands, the strands painted alternately in rich shades of maroon and raw ochre. The bowl has a graceful flared shape and rolled spiral porcelain bands. Marked to the base Made in Italy and impressed ‘Italy’ 10.
