A signed limited edition offset lithograph on paper after an original gouache painting by contemporary Southwestern Native American genre artist Virginia Stroud (Cherokee-Muscogee Creek, born 1951), titled Before Battle. The print depicts several playfully illustrated Native American figures on horseback spread across a long horizontal scene. The print is signed and dated 1982 in-plate to the lower right. It is signed and numbered 36/850 in pencil to the lower left. It is triple-matted in brown, white, and orange and is presented behind glass in a gold tone metal frame with a hanging wire.
