A pair of architectural engravings on paper of the interior of a house in Pompeii by Elisabeth Quevanne (French; 1648 – 1711). This collection includes the titles Nella Casa di Campagnia di Pompeia, Piano Superiore Parete Della Prima Stanza de Bagni and Nella Casa di Campagnia di Pompeia Piano Inferiore, Parete d’una Stanza depicting the remaining interior walls of a bath and a downstairs wall of a room of the house of Campagnia in Pompeii. Signed and titled in plate below the main image. Each engraving is presented mounted without a frame or glass.
Condition
- some wear to the edges of the mat; mats are not tapped together and image is not centered in mats; some stains to the surface of the mat; to the verso, some smudges and marks to the mat.
