A Boehm porcelain flower titled Gardenia. Featured is a delicate white porcelain flower with green leaves set on a rock shaped base. Maker’s mark and number 25012 to the underside. Boehm Porcelain was started by Edward Marshall Boehm (1913-1969), an American sculptor most known for the porcelain birds and wildlife sculptures he created, promoted by his equally well-known spouse, Helen Boehm. Together, the two founded E.M. Boehm Studios. Works created in the studio are in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the studio is known for its fine and elegant sculptural work owned by museums, royalty and celebrities worldwide.
