A Boehm limited edition porcelain bird titled Sandhill Crane . The work is a delicate naturalistic hand painted sculpture of a crane with open beak, standing on one leg. It is hand signed in ink to the base by Helen Boehm and numbered 90 to the underside. Boehm Porcelain was started by Edward Marshall Boehm (1913-1969), an American sculptor most known for the porcelain birds and wildlife sculptures he created, promoted by his equally well-known spouse, Helen Boehm. Together, the two founded E.M. Boehm Studios. Works created in the studio are in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the studio is known for its fine and elegant sculptural work owned by museums, royalty and celebrities worldwide.
