Assortment of Intaglio Prints After H. Alken Hunting Scenes

A pair of engravings and an etching after Henry Alken’s (1785-1851) original work depicting hunting scenes. Included are two engravings after A Check, 12 O’Clock, Tipping for the Swine and Morning, A Few of the Right Sort Going To Do The Thing. Also included is an etching after Going Out. Each print is presented on heavy rag paper with an embossed plate marking and text to the lower margins denoting artist, publisher, and title.

Condition

- smudges visible on prints; pencil inscription to lower right margin; edges show wear and tear with discoloration along the borders.
