Chippendale Style Mahogany China Cabinet

Item Details

A mahogany breakfront china cabinet in Chippendale style. The upper portion has four cabinet doors, each with geometric overlay and three shelves inside; the lower portion has a long drawer and cabinet in the breakfront, with a cabinet on each side. It has a filigree carved, pierced scroll top broken pediment, with leaf and flower carving down the edges of the top and bottom cabinets, twist carved accent around the edges, floral carving to the curved apron, and sits on cabriole legs with ball and claw feet. Each of the lower cabinets has a framed accent with an applied shell carving at each corner. The drawer has gold tone loop bails, and the cabinet doors have gold tone back plates and teardrop pulls; it comes with five keys. The piece separates in the center.
