A hand-colored aquatint series titled The First Steeple-Chase on Record drawn by Henry Alken (1785-1851) and engraved by John Harris (1791-1873). Depicted is a group of men mounted on horses racing through towns, farms and fields. The plate numbered are present to the upper right corners. Each print features a printed inscription depicting the title, artist, publisher, medium and accompanied paragraph contextualizing the scene. Works are presented unframed.
