Early 20th Century Tiger Oak Fireplace Mantel

Item Details

A large fireplace mantel comprised of quarter sawn tiger oak, circa the early 20th century. This beautiful mantel features a shelf along the entire top with a lovely hand carved floral and scroll motifs to the face, which includes two carved corbels with a reeded design carved into the exterior that extends down the legs on the both sides. This piece is supported by a plinth base with square legs attached to the front of either side.

Condition

- to fair. Very minor nicks and scratches, especially to the bottom. A wood support piece and metal hardware need to be re-attached to verso. Sticker residue to top.
