A hand knotted Persian Arak stair runner rug. The salmon colored field is highly decorated with repeating floral designs in colors of powder blue, blush, rust, and lemon. The elongated field is encircled by a pricipal herati border with flanking stylized boteh minor borders.The piece displays a wool pile , short overcast edge and cotton warp fringe.

wear pattern consistent with normal usage. Rug has been secured to stairs with nails.
