Joan Miró 1967 Hand-Pulled "Atelier Mourlot" Exhibition Poster

Item Details

A 1967 hand-pulled lithograph by very well-listed Spanish abstract artist Joan Miró (1893 – 1983), trimmed from a print promoting the exhibition of the artist’s works at the famed Bank Street, New York gallery and print shop Atelier Mourlot, now known as Mourlot Studios. The poster features an abstract shape printed in Miró’s signature primary color scheme with dramatic black accents. This print was trimmed from a larger poster that featured information about the exhibition printed to its lower edge originally. The print is signed in-plate by the artist to the lower left. It is matted in pale blue-gray and presented behind glass in a thin pewter tone metal frame with a hanging wire to the verso.
