"Pain and Its Relief" Offset Lithograph and Accompanying Book

A ‘Pain and Its Relief’ offset lithograph and accompanying book. This offset lithograph of a black and white drawing of a man with colorful flowers growing out of his head was the image for the promotional poster for the 1983 exhibit Pain and its Relief at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of American History. It is presented under glass beneath gray and white mats in a black and gold gilt frame wired to the verso for hanging. Included with the poster is the catalog, Pain and it Relief: An Exhibition at the National Museum of American History by Nancy Knight, detailing the various works presented at the exhibition.
