Chinese Ritual Bronze Style Table Lamp

Item Details

A table lamp made from a bronze vessel in the style of a Chinese archaic ritual bronze. The base of the lamp is made from bronze and is in the shape of hu, a vessel form which originated in the Shang dynasty (circa 1600 BCE-circa 1046 BCE) for ritual use. The bronze is mounted with wooden trim on the top and bottom of the lamp. The lamp includes a cream shade with flared, scalloped edges.

Condition

- In tested, working condition
- Top of base is loose
- Lampshade it poor condition with rips and stains.
- finial is missing.
