A watercolor painting on paper by listed American artist Norman Brumm (1938 – 2008). Within gestural brushstrokes and blue tonalities, this piece depicts a seagull with spread wings flying over a calm blue ocean within cloudy blue skies in the background. This work is signed by the artist in ink to the lower right corner of the composition. Presented on paper laid on carton board and remains unframed.
Norman Brumm is best known for his enamel on copper sculptures and watercolors. He acquired his formal artist training at Michigan State University. Brumm’s work was exhibited in the White House under President Gerald R. Ford’s period.
