A limited edition serigraph on paper titled Crane Releasing The Fog by listed artist Tim Paul (Northwest Coast; b.1950), created in 1992. This print depicts a crane preparing to release fog in the form of a white creature. This piece is numbered 110 out of an edition of 140; signed and titled in graphite along the bottom of the print. An embossed stamp to the lower right reads ‘Pacific Editions Limited’. Housed behind acrylic glass in a tan and red double mat in a black metal frame.

Tim Paul was born in Zeballos during 1950, a small village on the west coast of Vancouver Island and is a member of the Hesquiaht First Nation. Paul’s primary medium is wood carving which he learned ad the Arts of the Raven Gallery, in Victoria in 1975. Soon after he assisted Richard Hunt in the Royal British Columbia Museum’s carving program in Vancouver. In 1976, Paul became the senior carver at the Royal British Columbia Museum. Aside from being a sculptor, Paul is successful printmaker creating silkscreen print based on various legends of Nuu Chah Nulth culture. He uses his artwork as a way to pass on these cultural traditions.
