A hand-knotted Persian Mashad area rug. The rug features a floral medallion to the center in a palette of pink, mauve, dark and light blue, and cream that sits on top of an indigo field. The field is populated in arabesque line work and floral palmettes in a matching palette and is enclosed in a compound resolved border. The rug showcases a floral guard border with a primary border featuring a herati pattern and has a cream fringe to either end. The piece is marked to the verso.
