Reproduction Bronze After Christopher Fratin "Mare and Colt"

A reproduction bronze sculpture after Mare and Colt by Christopher Fratin (French, 1801-1864). It depicts a mare and her colt walking on an uneven ground, past a tree stump. The horses are bronze brown and have darker brown near black manes and tails. The work includes a signature in mold to the base. It stands on an oval base of marble with a gold tone metal identification plate to the front.

Condition

- some dust present, slight oxidation, some scratches and chips.
