After Heywood Hardy Offset Lithograph "Run to Earth"

An offset lithograph after Run to Earth by Heywood Hardy (British, 1843-1933). This print depicts a group of British riders on horseback with their hounds; they have chased a fox back to its den and trapped it there, ‘running it to earth.’ The piece is signed in the plate to the lower left and is set behind glass and navy mats in a mahogany-toned frame with a wire to the verso for hanging.
Heywood Hardy was a British painter and engraver known for his depictions of hunting scenes. In his lifetime he was exhibited at the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal Academy, The British Institute, and The Old Watercolour Society.
