A sterling silver flatware set by the Gorham Manufacturing Company of Providence, RI (1865-). This is in the 1897 designed Strasbourg pattern, features handles with undulating c-scrolls. This set includes eleven dinner knives with stainless steel blades, eight butter knives with stainless steel blades and hollow handles, fourteen place spoons, eight soup spoons, two demitasse spoons, eleven salad forks, eleven dinner forks, and four cocktail forks. The serving utensils include a carving knife and fork set with stainless steel blades, a flat handle master butter knife, a pickle fork, two serving spoons, a jelly server, an iced tea spoon, two gravy ladles, and a sugar spoon. This set is presented with a fork in a different pattern, a sterling sugar shell in the Savannah pattern by Reed & Barton, and six silver plate soup spoons by R. Wallace in the Hostess pattern. The total approximate weight, excluding the knives and carving fork with stainless steel blades and the silver plate spoons, is 78.58 ozt.
