Antique Russian St. Petersburg China
Item Details
A collection of antique St. Peterburg china. Included are a large serving platter of Catherine II era, circa 1792-1796, with a hand-painted floral spray to the center and raised rim with red painted band. The plate was broken at one point and was repaired with wire staples. Three plates are included, having gold rim and emblem decoration, marked Kornilov Bros. and dated circa 1825; a small teacup and saucer are included, having floral decoration, made by Gardner and marked, circa 1758. A sauce server and underplate are included, having been bolted together from underneath, with gilded decoration and a coat of arms to the front, circa second quarter 19th century. Also included is a porcelain, monogrammed and gilded covered sugar with floral decoration, also dated circa 1800-1930.
Condition
to poor. Plates and serving tray have been broken and repaired. Wear on design to all pieces. Gravy bowl has some chips. Cups have some chips.
